History

In 2008, a group of practitioners in Australia and South Africa established the International Association of Psychophonetics Practitioners (IAPP) in Cape Town, South Africa with a branch in Australia, and some years later, a branch in England. 

For many years, IAPP offered a professional association for Psychophonetics practitioners which included supervision, peer group meetings, workshops, professional development, and newsletters to promote Psychophonetics worldwide.

After lapsing for several years, IAPP was re-established in 2023, with an executive committee and members from various countries.
